*** Strong Together Fundraiser Quilt along! ***
To celebrate Black History Month, the Fat Quarter shop is sharing a special quilt pattern to fundraise for the United Negro College Fund. During this annual quilt along fundraiser the Fat Quarter shop has raised over $45,000 for UNCF since 2021.
Each year of this fundraiser important people and their work is highlighted. In 1960, at the tender age of six, Bridges became the first African American student to integrate an elementary school in the South when she walked through a mob of angry segregationists and into her school. She and her family faced enormous challenges in the fight for school integration. pattern includes a short biography about Ruby Bridge and her lifelong work as a civil rights activist and her Rubybridges.foundation . There are also special notes from 4 designers for this event.
We encourage you to donate $15 to our UNCF campaign for the use of each of this free pattern!
From now through February 29, 2024, 100% of your donation will go to help underrepresented students earn a college education. Fat Quarter Shop will match up to $5,000 in donations.
