Sew my FREE 25 block Grandma's Kitchen!

This is my 2nd Free Block of the week quilt, they are released each Wednesday.

I selected a Fat Quarter bundle of pretty pastel fabric and added 3 fabrics to work from. This is more fabric than I used but it gave me variety during my designing. Maybe people created fun borders with the extra, or bought a single fabric border, or left as is, the way mine is. 

I started with

• SHOP Fat Quarter Bundles, mine had 40 prints, so check how much is in a bundle. I only used about 1/2 of the colors in mine
• 1 yard EACH of two companion fabrics in the line
• 2.5 yards of background

For my Free Weekly Block Sew Along I always suggest extra yardage to tie the blocks together. Since I do not design the Free Wed Mystery quilt in advance, I can not give you color placements, it's not that kind of a project. The Wed blocks are a journey in creating without much of a plan. If you must have a plan and full supply list, that is what my books & single patterns are for.
