I find it so exciting to reveal the full quilt after a fun sew along. It's even more exciting to see what you and everyone else has done, it's party time!
For me, my Block Wednesday 'A Flower Bouquet' was a much needed breath of spring during the winter as we sewed up beautiful light and airy blocks.
And now it's time to wrap it up with a finish!
I decided to do my border with the grey polka dot and lighter scraps 4-patches. I wanted the border to keep a light feel with the white.
TIP:
- If you want a larger quilt, I'd had another sashing, then a border.
- My favorite option for an extra border is THIS FLORAL that I used in the quilt.
Facebook Live
- When I was taking Photos I did a short Facebook Live in my backyard
- Do you love quick little live videos? I had fun with it and might do more if you like them, let me know in the comments.
Here is my Fireside chat too!
Setting Thoughts:
- My goal was to keep the quilt very light in feel.
- Now that you have your whole quilt together take a photo.
- Look at your color placements to learn what you like and don't like
- For mine I love that I put little bits of the light yellow and dark yellow in each block.
- My goal was for the deep plum fabrics to be a hint and not overwhelming.
- I love the peach plaid and if I were to make it again I'd add more of it.
This quilt is My dream of sewing a garden during the winter, thank you so much for joining me!
ONLY A FEW KITS LEFT
- If you love this fabric and want to make some companion items to your quilt, grab another kit while they are still a couple left
- I love this combo so much and can see it used for companion placemats, pillows, and a table runner.
** BUY the fabric for the asymmetrical layout
