My friend, I don't know where to start, so I'll just dive in. Hurricane Helene destruction has been epic. It hit communities that never expected to have hurricane damage of Epic proportions, like where my brother Tom and his family live in Asheville NC.
The hurricane's reach was massive and there are many communities that need our help.
My family is affected and I want to help. He had no flood damage, which we are all thankful for. Tom lives in a neighborhood near the downtown. As of writing this, they still have no power. And as many of you know, the entire city area of Asheville has NO water. I can't even imagine no water. The Three power plants were damaged. One needs major repairs. The city is working to get the other 2 up and running at some level.
We quilters are an amazingly generous community. And we like to sew, I get that. 😊 What I did is design a FREE 'Much Beloved Asheville' banner for you to sew and display. And I've listed a group of charities below that I'd be honored if you would support. Some are specific to Asheville, some are supporting all areas. Support where you can.
Below I also put my Heart quilt if you want to make that instead. Please display it or even auction the quilt in your local community to show support and raise more funds.

I was inspired by the Logo of Asheville and the strong community of volunteers that already exists there. Tom and his family moved there because they felt connected to that community and I really want to help them.
"Beloved Asheville' is one of the local Charities that my Sister-in-law recommended. they are full run by volunteers for many years. It is an establed group that knows the community. I'm honored to be able to help them to help others.
