You definitely need a way to hang quilts on your porch...and when you figure it out, please share. I've been trying to figure out a way to have a shadow box type thing mounted to the house for seasonal wall hanging quilt display. Ha!

Joan Maddox

Your site is terrific and I enjoy the many patterns you offer. Many of us are Canadians and would certainly welcome the opportunity to create a flag quilt using our flag as well. Thanks for listening.

Is there a supply list?

I love the aqua borders & sashing it is so beautiful. I never would have picked it but that's why you're the designer & I'm the nurse!😆❤

I love this. I'm going to my sister, I'm going to get her to get the fabric so we can make it while I'm there. Fun...

I agree as well.

I agree with Joan, as I am a proud Canadian.

I made this pattern last year for an auction funding Vets. Thanks for the pattern, Pat.

Joan, I did a web search of "Canadian flag quilt pattern" and found several sites. Maybe one of those sites will be of interest to you and other Canadians. Good Luck & looking forward to what you find and make.

I made it for my step Dads 90th birthday on Memorial Day. I love and so did he. He puts it on the back of his chair.

I took your advice and found a Canadian flag table runner on sew-sisters.com that could easily be extrapolated to make a quilt. Our flag is easier to applique and yours is easy to strip piece.

Love this pattern & your version of it! Thanks for the free pattern! And yes, you do something on your porch to display your beautiful quilts! Also, I just signed up to take your class in September at our quilt guild in TN. Can’t wait to meet you & learn your wild & free appliqué method! Hope you’ll bring your new fabric line with you, especially precuts & any kits you may like have by then.

Thank you Pat I love your site

Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern Pat - you are such an inspiration!

Cute pattern! I am another Canadian fan of Pats and must pass on a bit of information on hanging quilts outside. This is my experience...they fade and lose a lot of color over time. I hang small quilts on my front door and the morning sun has not been kind to them!

Shelly Roberts

I would love to have a way to display a quilt on my front porch (well if I ever finished one that I kept for myself instead of giving away). But I'm afraid the yahoos around here would just try to destroy it or steal it or the wasps would make it their home!
Love your quilt ideas and your quilt alongs--even though my computer hard drive gets to hold many of the patterns more than I actually get to quilt along with you. But one day..... Thanks for sharing another wonderful pattern with us.

Sharon Casavant

Your flag quilt is so nice! I like the aqua border which reminds me of the sky! Trimming it in red was the right thing to do. I would make a smaller one with 4 flags for the porch!

Judy Brundage

Thanks you Pat for the free Flag Pattern. I love it and can't wait to make one.

Regards, Judy

Susan Benjamin
