When I started my free Wed quilt along, I had a goal of creating full quilts from the blocks, and adding them to my Free Pattern page
Today I have the Sticky Bun block from Grandma's Kitchen as a full quilt!
I made with mostly French General Fabrics & Bella solids in black. (bella is 20% in Feb HERE)
I made this quilt for my mom's husband Frandk.
He wanted a quilt 'without flowers'. His mother made many many quilts and Franks treasures the ones he has from his mom.
I hope he loves it!

The best part of making a quilt is washing it, I love how it crinkles up and is so cuddly!
The quilting is by my friends Cindy & Dennis of Pinkpaw Studio. They used a Aurifil 40 wt and a modified baptist fan.
I did do a slight adjustment to the layout in the pattern below.
There are full strip sashings of 12.5" instead of corners to connect the blocks. So if you want to do this adjustment
- Sashing Cutting Directions - cut 60 sashing strips 2.5” x 12.5”
- Corner blocks - cut 36 squares 2.5” x 2.5”
- There is a 2" wide outer border to frame it
If you make one, share it below!

My favorite book series is by my publisher called 'The Big Book of'. So many times we are holding a set of fabric. It might be a Fat Quarter group, or a set of scraps, or you need a book full of photos to inspire you, THIS is the series to get!
I have some of my projects in them too!
