Grandma's Apron! When you open the PDF you'll read my story/not story. I do need to dig around in the old photos as I'm sure I have a few pictures of my great grandmother to share with you.
I am now officially doing two colorways pastels & my Sunday Drive + some... I had two grandma's and they were very different ladies so I think this really is my story to create. My memories of them. I've also being keeping my stories in a document. Maybe I'll do a little digital book of the stories and give to my family. I'm mulling that one onver.
I am using these design boards to keep track as I sew. It really helps me so I don't twist & turn pieces by accident.
TIP!!! - When tracing fusible and doing my donut method, you can save fusible by tracing images inside of larger images. I give you photo step by step fusible directions in my APPLIQUE BOOK. The dress & apron are PERFECT for this. Be sure you LEAVE SPACE between the shapes. Don't be too frugal with your Heat n Bond lite.
If you plan to do a LOT of fusible applique like I do, you can get a box if Heat n bond, it's what I own GET HERE
So some of you tell me you are allergic to applique (really.. you aren't.. because by machine it's easy & fun.. I teach you HERE)
I have this really cute full quilt of dresses with an alternate checkerboard pattern. it's in the PDF... you are welcome.. but you REALLY should applique.... it gives you such cute things!
