I was talking with a friend and it reminded me of a block from my Mother-in-law's first quilt ... and I knew it had to go in my solstice!
The Honey Bee block has a little applique! It's a fun shape to fussy cut fabric. Look for a image on your fabric that can be featured. When you use my method of applique it's very easy to position. In the pattern is also a 'variation' for an QUICK scrap busting quilt.. see below... because I have a question..

I was playing around with the colors and thought what if I removed the applique, then just did 2 colors in the block.
Then.. what if I alternated that.. and put them side by side... here is what it looks like!
Now it needs a name... because variation of a honey bee is not a good name.. Leave me a comment to name this scrap busting quilt!
