Block #8 looks like fun! Glad I got caught up yesterday.

Susanne

Oh boy! Now I really have to do math. I'm making a set of blocks @50% so this one should be really fun,

Colette

Oh boy is right! I made the previous blocks 6-inches (finished size). I think I will make this block #8 at 12-inches (finished size). So I think I'm going to change the 3.5" strip to 2.5" and the 2.5" strips will be 1.5". The applique will be WAY out of my comfort zone!

Dino

Oh what fun. I am loving this unsymetrical multi sized blocks.
I have wanted to do a multi sized star quilt for ever but this is even better fun fun fun

Dino

Colette, just cut out a square of paper the size of your finish inner block fold in half and cut a heart, then a smaller square for a smaller heart etc or print pattern at 50% or 40% or what ever will make them fit
Looks like the hearts are free form and not echos of each other

Sue Simon

I absolutely love the setting and the asymmetrical blocks! So ME! I'm using leftover Provence fabrics from another favorite quilt I made, and just having so much fun with this! I look forward to seeing what's new on Wednesday, and can't wait to get started!

Miranda

I am having SO much fun with this! I wanted to do the splendid sampler but it looked overwhelming to me. This one is perfect! So fun! I can't wait until Wednesdays to see the new block! And I even did my very first applique because of it! I can't even express how much fun this is! Thank you Pat!

Trudy Double

I simply love this block and can't wait to make it. Pat, oh my goodness, where do you get all your energy. You are like the ever ready bunny!!!!! :)

Marie

I am trying to keep up thank you looks great.

Vicky

I am loving this sew along as well. I appreciate you giving us the layout. I'm working with a group of fat quarters I already have, so having the layout will help with fabric choice. Love, love, love the layout. Thank you!

Ruth Brooks

Is this where I comment that I'd love to try a fat quarter quilt?

Bloque 8 me parece divertido. Lástima que continúe con la pierna mala. No puedo coser. Tengo que estar en cama todo el día. Saludos Pat Sloan y muchas gracias por tu arte.

Since you so kindly sent me the instructions for making a comment, I must try it out. It took awhile to get to your little picture because I was admiring all the heart blocks. I learned two things - I am a rule follower and I need to get out of the box and try a variation. Thanks for all the sew-alongs. You are keeping me busy. Fellow quilters - your blocks are divine!

Rosseanne

Oh boy - I'm starting to get behind on the Solstice quilt. You know what that means - the beginning of the end. HAHA! Thank you for sharing this with us. You inspire me every day. ~smile~

I'm frustrated with the website.. I was using a day off from working to catch up by downloading the last 4 Solstice blocks. Notice when reading the notes before downloading that several of the blocks had pictures posted on them. Decided I go back later to look through other people's selections since I have no one locally to share with.. My Internet Explorer crashed (pretty much a normal occurrence these days and now I simply can't find where the pictures are posted. Can anyone tell me where or how to find the pictures again?

PatSloan

Sue right at the top & on the right, is the navigation bar by blocks page. Did you look at that?
